Description:
The shortest roller delayed blowback .308/7.62x51. You lose a lot of velocity and energy with this 8.5” barrel. Most people have it for the flame and thunder. It’s fun for me to tame the concussion and add to a collection.

You need a low back pressure can to make it cycle properly. I originally tried a SilencerCo Chimera (that’s right at home on another gun now), but I was getting bolt bounce and then a light strike after every shot.

The OSS is best for low back pressure and it keeps the magazines clean. I think the Energetic Armament Vox S might sound a bit better, but it and the Micro 30 have more back pressure for sure.

I had a Choate folding stock on it, but took it off because I was getting roller marks in the rear of the receiver. It was probably a combination of the rubber buffer and what little extra back pressure the Micro 30, that I put on there after I tried the Chimera, gave it. I now have a modified heavy buffer in the full stock (and rubber butt pad) and that’s the best for it. I now have the 55 degree factory locking piece in with the OSS can and it cycles unsuppressed and suppressed fine. (I had the RCM #7 50 degree locking piece in with the Rugged Micro 30 thinking it would keep the action closed longer to help with the bit a back pressure.)

It has an EOTECH XPS2-0, clipped and pinned SEF finger groove lower, and Magpul MS1 sling with HK Claw Latch and Holding Clip. The X Products X-91 Skeletonized 50 round drum ran flawlessly.
