Just a quick explaination on the difference between a Shinken, Iaito and Habikito.
Shinken is a sharp sword.
Iaito is not sharpened and never has been.
Habikito is a sword that was once a shinken but has been unsharpened.

Just a quick video explaining the differences between a Shinogi Zukuri blade and an Unokubi Zukuri blade. The Unokubi Zukuri blade makes an excellent cutter and is lighter because the spine is normal thickness at the Koshi, then thins down to about 1/2 thickness, then goess back to normal thickness towards the Kissaki.
