At 80% Lowers, we provide the tools to give you the greatest access to the Constitution's most important right: The inalienable right to keep and bear arms. Only we take it a step further than any old sportsman's shop or retail site. We provide you with the highest quality gunsmithing tools, 80% lower receivers, and firearm build kits required to build a tier-one AR-15, tactical rifle or pistol, or handgun from scratch.
Today, we're proud to be a top provider of 80% lower receivers and gunsmithing parts for the AR platform. We're always expanding by adding new uppers, parts, and kits for the black rifle's many calibers: 5.56 NATO, .223 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Winchester, 300 Blackout, and 9MM to name a few. We've also created quality kits for Polymer Pistols and of course, America's favorite handgun, the 1911.
That's why we build what we sell.
We don't just sell parts. We build rifles and pistols for ourselves, too. Getting behind the tools and triggers on our products is just one way we work to make sure everything we sell is precisely machined and up to par for range day. Our customer service team comprises folks who put together pistol-caliber carbines and bench rifles alike. Questions about building or buying? We're always happy to help. We'll also help you master your build project with the latest gun news and easy-to-follow tutorials, build guides, FAQs, and how-to's.
We were founded in 2014, when our first goal was to bring gunsmithing-from-scratch to your front door. We wanted to guarantee your access to the Second Amendment by giving you the tools to build America's favorite rifle at home, the AR-15. Never mind the high prices, taxes and fees at the gun stores. To accomplish this, we helped bring shooters the 80% lower and jig, quality uppers, lower parts kits, and the tools to build a proper sporting rifle at home. The 80% lower was the first receiver blank that could be turned into a quality firearm by you, no experience or special tools required.
Our mission has always remained the same: To give you the tools to build quality guns from scratch. Only today, we've greatly expanded that mission beyond the AR-15 platform. Today, you'll find parts and build kits available for a wide range of black rifle calibers and full polymer pistol kits and 1911 build kits.
In this episode, we're showing you how to properly install and torque your AR-15's new barrel with a barrel nut, torque wrench, and some other simple gunsmithing tools. We're also covering how to install a typical one-piece, free-float handguard that attaches to the barrel nut with a torque plate.
