This is a traditional style Chinese handle wrap that I did on my nodachi length bokken and a couple other paracord wraps that I did on my tomahawks. The Chinese style handle wrap took me 3 hours to do 15" worth of wrap and it took over 30' worth of gutted 550 paracord.

This is a karami katate maki in cotton that I wrapped on my Masahiro Shadow Warrior Katana. This is the first time I've ever done this style of handle wrap but overall considering it's the first time I did this style of wrap I am happy with the results. Karami maki is a much more difficult style of wrap to do than the more common hineri maki style of handle wrap.

Tenryu katana converted into wakizashi. Things I have done to this sword include.
1. Shortening blade and reshaping point to satsuma-age tip
2. Wire brush hamon removed from blade
3. Blade sharpened
4. Tsuka shortened
5. Mekugi holes chamfered and burrs taken off tang
6. Saya shortened
7. Saya refinished
8. Horn kurigata and kojiri installed to saya
9. Good quality cotton sageo with tasseled ends
10. Custom cotton tsukamaki
11. Black delrin mekugi
12. Fitting tsuba and seppa

Finished product of my tanto and progress on my Tenryu Edo Katana. List of services perform to the Tanto include
 1. Reshaping the tang a bit
 2. Making a Tsuba adding Seppa I already had on hand
 3. Carving a tsuka for it
 4. Wrapping the handle in Shonai zuka using some old suede ito I had laying around from a raptor
 5. Replacing the thin wooden kurigata with a substantially sized horn kurigata
 6. Adding gold shitodome that were made in Japan
 7. Adding a nice quality Japanese made cotton checker pattern sageo
 8. Refinishing the saya
 9. Shimming the saya
 10. Sharpening the blade.Â

Finally finished my Shinwa Odachi. I made the tsuba, Kurigata and Kojiri from scratch and I made the menuki out of conchos. I shortened the Tsuka a bit more than before I started this as well, before it was about 16 1/4" and now it's 15 3/4" which feels better to me while still providing a good amount of tsuka at the end to hit with. I rewrapped the Tsuka in shonai zuka (common).

Here's my Musashi boat oar inspired Bokken that I made before and after being finished shaped and stained. Now I can and will do some videos with it :-). The finish I did is an antiqued finish to make it look aged.

Here's how my Shinwa Odachi looks after I rewrapped the Tsuka. I know using to separate pieces of Ito like I did isn't traditional but I had so much of it done and I didn't want to have to rewrap it again, also because after testing I'm probably going to shorten the tsuka from 22" to 16"-17" and if I do that the Tsukamaki will be the way it should be and if I don't shorten it then I'll just eventually rewrap it .

Here's how the Tsukamaki was on my Shinwa Odachi before I redid it. The Ito was loose, Menuki were upside down, Kashira was upside down, the Ito didn't alternate and the Omote end knot was tied wrong.
